Are you ready to try out your own game ideas, in your own game studio? Then the Game Habitat Haven in Malmö is for you!

Haven is designed for newly founded game studios, and aims to help you build a sustainable company so that you can build your own games for as long as you like. We are not telling you how to build your game, we believe you already possess those skills, instead we help you get up to speed on all the things running a game studio entails. Haven provides you with experts and peers to support you in getting the best possible start for your new game studio - basically a bunch of new friends to help you succeed. As every journey is unique, we start each Haven participant off with an onboarding where we together decide the goals for your participation.

The second edition of Haven runs September to December 2025.

Requirements for participation

  • Have a company, or an intent to start a company, registered in Sweden
  • Be able to spend on average 50% of a full time employment in onsite activities for the duration of the Haven
  • Must be able to physically attend sessions in Malmö
  • Signing an NDA covering content from other participating teams, to ensure an open environment encouraging mutual knowledge exchange
  • Team size of two to six people
  • Participation fee of 300 SEK/month per team
