Minc verified as the first sustainable incubator in the world

This September Minc got verified according to the newest ISO-standard 26000 that incorporates social, environmental and economical sustainability in the business operations. It means that both Minc and the startups getting support in building their businesses at Minc now have a transparent and solid ground for making sustainability and growth go hand in hand.

“We are so proud of this achievement of being the first incubator in the world to be verified as working sustainable, both for Minc, but also for the entrepreneurship in Sweden” says Karin Lintrup, Head of Sustainability at Minc.

ISO 26000 is an international standard that provides guidance for organizations to set up, implement and monitor their Social Responsibility. Sweden has, as the first and only country in the world, ratified the standard for including the UN sustainable development goals (SDG:s) with a self-declaration.

Receiving the verification means that Minc can be considered as one of the leading Startup houses in Europe when it comes to sustainability. It is within Mincs vision, mission and sustainability strategy to systematically work with Equality, Agenda 2030 and Diversity & Inclusion. The ambition with the standard is to improve the understanding of sustainability and to inspire other companies to follow Mincs example.

I september blev Minc först i världen att verifieras i enlighet med den senaste ISO-standarden 26000 som innefattar social, ekonomisk och miljömässig hållbarhet. ISO 26000 är en internationell standard som ger vägledning för verksamheter att sätta upp, implementera och följa sitt arbete med social hållbarhet. Sverige har, som det första och enda landet i världen, ratificerat standarden som inkluderar av FN:s hållbarhetsmål (SDG:s) utifrån självdeklaration.

Verifikationen betyder att Minc kan anses som ett av de ledande startup-husen i Europa inom hållbarhet. Det ligger inom Mincs vision, uppdrag och hållbarhetsstrategi att systematiskt arbeta med jämställdhet, Agenda 2030, mångfald och inkludering. Ambitionen med standarden är att förbättra och utveckla kunskapen kring hållbarhet och inspirera andra verksamheter att följa Minc exempel.
