Four weeks ago, 16 game developers walked into Minc without a team. Today they pitched to a panel of industry people.
Level 0: Looking For Group is a new Minc Game program for people who want to start a game studio but haven't found who to build it with yet. Our Level 1 program needs applicants to already have a team, so Level 0 is where those teams can form. The idea is simple: You don't pick co-founders by guessing, but you pick them after working next to them.
This is what Looking for Group looks like:
For the first two weeks, nobody worked on their own project. Participants did speed-dating, capability mapping and paper prototype sprints in groups they didn't choose. Everyone pitched a new game hook every day, and every hook went up on a shared wall. Ideas weren't property. Anyone could champion anyone's hook.

In week three, teams formed. Industry advisors sat down and played with what they had built. In week four, each team argued out a Founder Commitment Charter covering roles, equity, vesting and what happens if someone leaves. These are the conversations founding teams usually put off for a year.

All 16 participants stood in front of the panel and pitched the prototypes and game ideas they had built during the program. 4 teams, 4 playable prototypes, and a lot of brave people.

A big thank you to our panel Kim Krogh, Ditte Deenfeldt, Brian Bartram, Calle Lejdfors, Peter Akrill, Henrik Davidsson, Martin Walfisz, Lars Håhus, Brynley Gibson adn Martin Gram for your time and honest feedback, and to Alexander Strandberg for designing and running the program.
Thank you to the participants. You showed up, you had the awkward conversations early, and you built something together. We can't wait to see what comes next.
Let's the game together.

When it comes to enterprise databases, the work is still surprisingly manual. Performance tuning requires experts, time, and constant attention. Many companies compensate by overprovisioning hardware, which is expensive and inefficient. DBtune is changing that. We sat down with founder Luigi Nardi to hear how the company uses AI to automate tuning without compromising trust.
