Welcome to Minc for the 1st talk on the series New Perspectives in Business! 

On this first edition we invite Annika Gustafson (Boost) to take the stage to talk about VR - Virtual Reality

Talk:

A broad vision on how VR will and can impact our lives in the near future: which areas will/can be most influenced? Can it be used to makes us better humans and if so, how? What kinds of fields will the use of VR enhance and how does it help business? 

Bio: 

VR and innovative storytelling expert Annika Gustafson is the executive director of BoostHbg, a ground breaking fund and incubator for transmedia and VR in Helsingborg, Sweden. Long based in Montreal, Canada, Annika spent many years developing her creative and business expertise in the international film industry. Returning to Sweden in 2010, she produced the Financing Forum for Kids Content before joining BoostHbg as the Nordic countries' first Transmedia Commissioner. With her passion for strong stories that can develop organically over several platforms, Annika draws on her years of experience as an award winning filmmaker and producer to help creators and producers increase reach, impact, and financing possibilities. She’s a well sought after speaker and consultant who also coaches companies on storytelling. She’s been a jury member of many international jurys such as IDFA DocLab interactive jury and Sheffield Doc/Fest VR jury. She also coaches interactive projects for IDFA DocLab and IDFA, Sheffield Doc/Fest, and the Tribeca Film Festival. Annika is part of a handful of international experts deciding on the Canadian Media Fund’s 50 million dollar fund The Experimental Stream.
