For the third talk, we have the Founders & CEOs of Solentro Hampus & Tobias Schildfat. In addition, this talk will count with expert and researcher Sofia Ulver's comments. She'll focus on how these modern stories fit into the grand trends in contemporary society, considering the culture of masculinity in entrepreneural start-up environments. That is, system, gender and status reflections.
Designing your Life / A Modern Success Story
Hampus has for several years been able to, as a father, spend as much time in his daily life with his family as he does on his entrepreneurial endeavour. Tobias has for several years been able to spend as much time abroad to surf and learn more languages as he does on his entrepreneurial journey. Being able to combine these different lifestyles while growing a successful business takes a lot of courage, stamina and creativity - Hampus & Tobias will tell you all about how they made this happen!
Hampus Schildfat, Board member.Holds a Bachelor's degree in literature and film from the University of Lund and the University of California, Santa Barbara. He earlier worked as a script analyst at Spyglass Entertainment in Hollywood with productions like 27 Dresses (2008). In Sweden, he has worked for the Swedish film industry with Göta Kanal 2, Rosa-the movie and Arn. Furthermore, he has worked as a project manager and art director at an advertising agency with clients such as Leaf and Findus. He enjoys skateboarding to the point that he breaks his arm every once in a while and he is also a passionate surfer. Founder and the CEO of Solentro since 2008.
Tobias Schildfat, Board member.Holds a Master's degree in business administration with a major in management and marketing from the University of Lund and from Napier Business School in Edinburgh. He has worked in several lines of business: as a stockbroker for Handelsbanken, one of the primary financial institutions in Sweden, and as business manager with Findus, one of Sweden’s largest food companies. Furthermore he is a multiple published author and his first book immediately made it to the top of the bestseller list with more than 42,000 copies sold. As a teenager he fell in love with surfing, he is still very much in love. Founder and the CEO of Solentro since 2008.
Sofia Ulver, Associate Professor (Docent) and Researcher at Lund University.She investigates how cultural and structural trends in lifestyles, consumption, innovation, and production relate to larger ideological shifts and political changes in contemporary society. How come we dream of what we dream of? Why do we desire what we desire?
