Apply for Level 1 of the Minc Game program — a five-month program for early-stage game companies organized by Minc and Game Habitat.
We believe great games are made by people from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and genders. We are committed to fostering a more gender-balanced and diverse games industry, and we strongly encourage all applicants, especially female and non-binary founders, to apply for the program.
Application deadline: June 19
Interviews: June 22–24
Program runs: September 2026 – January 2027
Early-stage game companies working on a game or game-related products.
We evaluate applications on four parameters: innovation, commercial potential, team competencies and composition, and ambition.
Completing Minc Game Level 1 puts you in a strong position to apply for future levels of Minc Game, launching in 2027.
We already have something playable — can we still apply? Yes. If Level 1 isn't the right fit, we'll keep your application for Level 2.
How much time should I expect to use during the program? The program requires the team to have at least one person spending 50% of a full-time position on the project. Specific time needed for the program activities will vary, but will usually amount to 1 full day per week.
Is there direct funding? No direct funding, but the program covers curated event participation and consultancies.
I'm not sure how innovative our game is — should I still apply? Yes. Articulating what makes you distinct is something we can work on together during the program.
I'm a solo developer — can I apply? Yes. But please be aware that due to our evaluation parameters and our overall goal of creating more jobs and opportunities in the games industry, teams will generally be in a better position for this round.
